  • 🚫This may be controversial, but don’t rely on Chat GPT to plan your holiday.🚫 Recently I had several friends tell me they used Chat GPT to plan their upcoming holidays. It sounded amazing - it is free, churns out an itinerary in seconds and provides you with all you need to plan your trip! I had to try it for myself. I asked it to plan a 2 week trip to Bali for my family of 4, telling it a bit about our interests and what kind of places we’d like to stay in. The results were… not great. First, it suggested activities that are no longer in business. You’ll need to check and recheck all the activities it sends you. Much of what it sent me is out of date. Many of the hotels it listed are not in business anymore. Second, it omitted some of the best places to stay for families in my opinion, and did include Sanur at all! What?! Third, it is not specific. It may tell you to take a cooking class, but not which one is best for children. There was also not specific information on how to book transportation. I will say this - it did recommend Waterbom, which is for sure a must when traveling with kids to Bali. Want really helpful information on coming to Bali with kids? A week just for you in one of the most beautiful places on earth. As a mom myself, I know the importance of making time to spend on my own and with other women. I just came back from a weekend in Nusa Lembongan, where all these videos were taken and where we’ll be spending part of our time on the Women’s Trip I’m organizing in April.   • Coming with kids to Bali? Don’t miss @casa_jomo in Uluwatu. This villa was obviously designed by parents, with attention to details like baby gear, a kids playroom and a pool that has lovely shallow areas for toddlers! They did not skimp on air conditioning and bedding - the beds were the most comfortable I’ve had in Bali and I slept so well here. Honestly, it is worth mentioning how good it was. There are 5 en suite bathrooms, one with bunk beds and loads of toys and books for the little ones. I also loved how close it was to local beaches (Dreamland and Bingin) and walking distance to Cashew Tree, our favorite spot for breakfast. AND, Casa JOMO is offering our audience 20% off their stay if you mention us! Just DM them directly to book the discount. Lots of dates still available for December and January, but I’m sure not for long! Book now to avoid disappointment!
  • I recently asked my 4 year old (she’s almost 5!) what the best activities are for kids in Bali and here is what she said: 1. @kids.soho An indoor play place in Sanur. I’d say it is great for kids to age 7 or so and there is a cafe for parents to escape the noise or have a coffee. 2. @byrdhousebali I totally agree on this one. Great food, great pools and there is even a little kids club if you need to escape the heat. A must if you’re in Sanur. 3. A play date with her friends. They’ll probably be playing “pretend to be a kitty” together 😂 She didn’t say this one but I know she loves the playground on the beach in Sanur in front of the Mercure hotel. It’s free and a great place to meet friends. Unclear if those friends will want to pretend to be kitties or not… What does your 4 year old like to do?

What if you could have a week off? 🙏 A week off of household responsibilities. A week without getting everyone out the door on time. A week where you don’t have to plan the menu.
